Tabasco’s agency, The Food Group, partnered with The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to develop an online resource: DiamondCulinaryAcademy.com in order to provide culinary students and recent graduates of culinary programs with resources to inspire and support them as they work towards a culinary career. The aim was to focus on cultivating strong brand ambassadors and a generation of culinary professionals who have a passion for cooking with heat.
I was brought onto the agency’s team as the “voice of the industry” to help create an editorial calendar, content strategy and write copy. I dug into my industry contacts to interview a number of celebrity chef mentors, industry experts, and successful culinary students for feature content, as well as researched educational and trend-driven articles on peppers, salt, oak, heat and more.
I also chose a diverse group of chefs to interview in-person at the CIA’s Worlds of Flavor Conference, for videos which were also featured on the site. Then, provided all necessary SEO keywords/phrases, headlines, subheads, metadata, photos, captions, and social media content as needed. I also developed and maintained the initial editorial style guide and keywords list for other contributors to the program.
